Gym: Australians unveil secret weapon

MANCHESTER, July 27 AAP - Australian gymnastics has unveiled its
secret weapon - a
14-year-old girl from Perth who is performing floor routines with
a start value of 10,
the highest difficulty ranking.
Sarah Lauren, who turns 15 on Tuesday, stepped out of Allana Slater'
s shadow with an
almost flawless 9.450 on the floor to help the Australian women's
team retain its Commonwealth
Games all-round title.
Lauren was spotted by the West Australian Institute of Sport at
the age of five and
went into its coaching program at six.
She finished third overall today to qualify for the individual
all-round ...
