Fed: Stott Despoja upbeat ahead of crisis meeting
MELBOURNE, July 30 AAP - An upbeat Australian Democrats leader
Natasha Stott Despoja
said she expected support from her colleagues at today's crisis meeting
in Melbourne.
Senator Stott Despoja was besieged by media as she emerged from
her Melbourne offices
an hour before the 1pm (AEST) meeting.
Today's meeting was called after former leader Meg Lees quit the
party last Friday,
and West Australian Senator Andrew Murray removed himself from the
party room and his
portfolio on Sunday.
Senator Stott Despoja said she was not anxious about the meeting
which will be attended
by all Democrat senators, except for ...
