Fed: Democrats give rebel senator Murray another 48 hours
MELBOURNE, Aug 4 AAP - The Australian Democrats have given rebel
senator Andrew Murray
an extra 48 hours to patch up his differences with the party.
Democrats Leader Natasha Stott Despoja told reporters in Melbourne
today the extension
of time had been granted in good faith and she remained optimistic
Senator Murray would
return to the fold.
"The Australian Democrats party room has agreed to grant Senator
Andrew Murray 48 hours'
grace," Senator Stott Despoja said.
"He has requested an extra 48 hours to finalise his decision in
relation to (re)joining
the party room.
