Fed: Democrats cave in to Murray for extra time

CANBERRA, Aug 4 AAP - The Australian Democrats caved in to senator-
in-exile Andrew
Murray today and gave him an extra 48 hours to consider his future.
Party leader Natasha Stott Despoja said the new deadline of close
of business on Tuesday
was the last one for Senator Murray to decide whether to stay with
the Democrats.
She was backed by party founder Don Chipp, who said Senator Murray
had to make up his
mind rather than sit outside the party room.
But the government turned up the heat on Senator Stott Despoja,
