HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson today announced the award of a
$2.5
million contract to the Washington Hospital Center to not only substantially
improve the hospital's emergency readiness capability to better serve
the
National Capital Region in case of a terrorist attack or any incident
involving
mass casualties but also serve as a model for the nation's hospitals.
