Monday, August 5, 2002 -- The Foreign Ministry issued a scathing condemnation
of Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh yesterday, saying her response
to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan's report on the IDF's operations
in the Jenin refugee camp displayed "extreme insensitivity." The report
cleared Israel of Palestinian charges of a massacre in the camp and
confirmed Israel's report that only 52, mostly armed, Palestinians
were killed in the battle.
