Movie buffs won't wait long to check out award favorites at the Venice
Film Festival, with "Frida" starring Salma Hayek, "Full Frontal" with
Julia Roberts, and Paul Newman's "Road to Perdition" packing the opening
three days of the show, organizers announced Saturday.
Not in competition, but certain to have a big audience at the Aug.
29-Sept. 8 festival is "Between Strangers," the feature-film debut
by the son of Sophia Loren, to be shown Aug. 30, according to the
schedule released Saturday. The film by Edoardo Ponti stars Loren
and Mira Sorvino.
