THE Telephone Organisation of Thailand (TOT) is expected to gain
momentum after the resignation of its managing director, Satien
Pitaganun, whose action was accepted unanimously by the board of
directors Tuesday.
Behind the resignation, industry sources said, was heavy lobbying by
some private companies which charged that Satien had been unfair to
them in some business deals.
The rumour about Satien's resignation had been spreading for about a
week. It was confirmed Tuesday when the TOT board approved Satien's
resignation, which had been tendered to Transport and Communications
