Article: Moshav's female members block 'men-only' elections

THE "men-only" internal elections scheduled to take place yesterday at Moshav Zavdiel in the Lachish region were postponed after 30 female members of the moshav were granted an interim injunction by the Beersheba District Court.

The women filed the injunction request via a Na'amat lawyer after discovering that the head of the temporary committee at the moshav had not included them on the list of eligible voters.

These are the first elections at the moshav in 15 years.

"I'm happy that we've managed to prevent the elections from going ahead at this stage," said moshav member Rahel Aricha.
