Sir, - In 1967 at the time of the Six Day War, our spokesman at the UN was Abba Eban. The wisdom of his words was matched only by his rhetorical skills, and the ability of our representative at the UN was the envy of many of the larger and more powerful nations.
The years passed. Abba Eban was replaced and eventually became a private citizen. He still graces the pages of The Jerusalem Post - and I say "graces" advisedly, for his literary skills have not been dimmed by the passing of the years. Not so, unfortunately, his powers of reasoning, for when one tries to analyze what he writes, one can only wonder what has become of the Abba Eban we ...
