THE former commander of Military Prison No. 4 and 30 guards are in the process of being court-martialed for physically and mentally abusing inmates, depriving them of their rights, and violating army orders and procedures.

OC Military Police Brig.-Gen. Niram Goldbroom told reporters yesterday that when he entered office, eight months ago, he launched a thorough investigation of affairs at prison No. 4, following complaints by reserve soldiers and former inmates.
