DON'T cry over spilt milk. The million liters of long-life milk adulterated with silicone that Tnuva was forced to discard a few weeks ago did not pollute the environment.

A private company that specializes in the biological breakdown of organic material turned it into biogas that was burned harmlessly in the air, producing only carbon dioxide. Within a year, this technology will be used at Tnuva's Rehovot plant for turning organic waste into useful electricity, steam or hot water.
