You missed the mark in "Of Main Street and jobs" (Editorial, Sept. 2). We do not consider Hackensack in perpetual economic decline, we consider it to be in present economic decline. How in the world is "permanent economic evolution" applicable to this situation? Your spin is in describing Hackensack as a small, quaint town, such as your comparison to Nyack, N.Y. Hackensack is a city, the county seat, with a population exceeding 40,000 people.
