Thirty to 50,000 people are expected to gather today in an open field
near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where United Airlines Flight 93 crashed
last year on this day. The 40 passengers and crew on Flight 93 fought
back after four hijackers took control of the plane and began steering
it towards Washington, DC. During the struggle, the plane plunged
to Earth in a reclaimed strip mine. All aboard were killed. NPR's
John Ydstie reports from Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
