NEW YORK (AP) _ Magglio Ordonez went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and three
runs scored as the Chicago White Sox capitalized on three errors to
beat the New York Yankees 13-2 Friday night.
Mike Mussina (16-10) struggled with his control, walking four batters
and hitting one, to lose his third straight start as the Yankees'
five-game winning streak was snapped.
New York's magic number for clinching its fifth straight AL East title
dropped to seven after Boston lost 8-3 to Baltimore.
The White Sox have won five of six to move within two games of .500
and keep Minnesota's magic number for clinching the AL Central at
three.
