LAS VEGAS -- Until now, Oscar De La Hoya was perceived by many in boxing as being a pretty boy fighter. Somebody with extraordinary skills, but not always willing to get down and dirty.

Those perceptions were shattered Saturday night. Pretty boy turned into gritty guy.
