(The Marquette Tribune) (U-WIRE) MILWAUKEE -- Brent Baumann is the
type of student college admissions officers salivate over.
He was valedictorian of Watertown High School. He scored a 33 composite
on the ACT. He was captain of the cross country team and was involved
with track and field, band and volunteerism in high school.
Baumann is a freshman in Marquette University's honors program, majoring
in international affairs. He devours books like "Oedipus" and "Lysistrata"
for class and is taking a seminar called Revolution and the Human
Condition.
Baumann is one of nearly 100 freshmen with similar resumes in the
