(Daily Kent Stater) (U-WIRE) KENT, Ohio -- Down 27-17 and driving with
less than two minutes remaining, Kent State quarterback Josh Cribbs
threw a rocket to receiver Derrick Bush, putting the Flashes inside
the Miami (OH) 20-yard line.
But it wasn't enough.
Kent State (2-2, 0-1 MAC) could only come up with a field goal, allowing
Miami to walk away with a 27-20 victory Saturday at Yager Stadium.
The RedHawks have now won 13 of their last 14 games against Kent State.
"We played a very good Miami football team, it was a hard fought game
on both sides of the ball," Kent State coach Dean Pees said. "I thought
we were getting tired toward the end of defense. ...
