Qld: Third boarding house fire in Brisbane

BRISBANE, Sept 6 AAP - A serial boarding house arsonist may be responsible for last night's guest house fire in Brisbane, police said today.

They were called last night to the third boarding house fire in Brisbane since the beginning of August.

Two residents at the Indooroopilly Guest House on Moggill Rd, Indooroopilly, in Brisbane's inner west, noticed the smoke and flames at about 9.30pm (AEST) and alerted the 10 other occupants.

Indooroopilly CIB Detective Sergeant Geoff Acreman said the fire originated under the house where two mattresses were set alight.
