Fed: building taskforce to start Tuesday - Abbott
CANBERRA, Sept 26 AAP - An interim taskforce to oversee the building
and construction
industry would begin work next Tuesday, Workplace Relations Minister
Tony Abbott said
today.
Mr Abbott last month announced the government had accepted the
Cole Royal Commission's
recommendation to establish an interim taskforce.
"As I have said in the House before, the problems of the building
and construction
industry are costing taxpayers; they are costing consumers; they are
costing the economy
and they are costing jobs," Mr Abbott said in a statement.
