(Daily Kent Stater) (U-WIRE) KENT, Ohio -- Holding a 1-0 half-time
lead after Kristen Johnson's fourth goal of the season Saturday, Kent
State faced an emotional, physical second-half, which included an
ejection, verbal warnings, a penalty shot and two Louisville goals.
All of those incidents helped contribute to Kent State's 2-1 home
loss to the Cardinals. The loss dropped Kent State's overall record
to 6-2 and just 1-1 in Mid-American Conference play.
When the second-half began, Louisville fired shots at the net off
of penalty corners only to be denied by Kent State goalie Jessica
Creeden, who made back-to-back saves while lying on her side in front
of the net.
