ENGLEWOOD - The school board's stated intent in hiring a "community
liaison'' last week was to build a bridge between residents and the
central office.
But already, some residents question the need for such a position.
The critics are not faulting the Rev. Vernon C. Walton, who was hired
last week in a unanimous vote. But some wonder if Walton, head pastor
