BRISBANE, Oct 13 AAP - I've been to Bali too.
The Indonesian island is the most popular overseas destination
for Australians on a
short holiday.
Known as "The Island of the Gods", Bali has become a mecca for
Australian surfers and
others wanting a cheap, relaxing resort-style holiday.
Every year, about 200,000 Australians are lured by the white sandy
beaches, year-round
surfing, spectacular sunsets and unique culture.
But a blast which ripped through the tourist district of Kuta overnight,
killing more
than 180 people, ended the island's reputation as a peaceful holiday
centre.
