SYDNEY, Oct 14 AAP - The star of independent smash hit film My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Nia Vardalos, once rejected being Greek and all that comes with it.

In Australia to promote the film, Vardalos, 40, said that it was a simple ironic fact of life that people of Greek background eventually ended up resembling their parents.

"I think it's a simple ironic fact of life that we eventually turn into our parents,"
