(Daily Texan) (U-WIRE) AUSTIN, Texas -- It wasn't quite the offensive spectacle the pundits predicted, but Iowa State and Texas Tech didn' t disappoint in their showdown in Ames, Iowa.

Iowa State quarterback Seneca Wallace didn't have a great statistical outing, but the senior made several key plays as the No. 9 Cyclones improved their record to 6-1 with a 31-17 win over the unranked Red Raiders.

Wallace completed 15-of-22 attempts for 148 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for another as the Cyclones won their sixth-consecutive outing.
