DAN RATHER, CBS ANCHOR: Former President of the United States Jimmy Carter was named the winner, today, of this year`s Nobel Peace Prize today.

The Nobel Committee cited his dedication to finding peaceful solutions to international conflicts. And the committee`s chairman called the choice of Carter -- and I quote -- "a kick in the leg to those who support President Bush`s constant threat of war with Iraq." Jimmy
