Vic: Victoria Police help investigations in Bali

MELBOURNE, Oct 16 AAP - A Victoria Police forensic science expert has been sent to Bali to help determine who was behind the weekend terrorist bombings which killed at least 180 people.

Deputy Commissioner Bill Kelly said today the technician flew to Bali yesterday to assist Australian Federal Police (AFP), Indonesian authorities and the coroner at the crime scene in Kuta.

Mr Kelly said Victoria Police also had a number of other resources on standby if AFP requested further assistance.
