(Daily Kent Stater) (U-WIRE) KENT, Ohio -- The phrase "win one, lose one" described Kent State's latest weekend.

The Flashes recovered from two losses last weekend to beat up Miami 5-1 Friday but lost to Louisville 2-0 Saturday.

Kent State (9-5, 3-4) spent last week practicing finishing matches after blowing a 3-0 lead to Ball State. And against Miami, Kent State passed its first test.

Leading 2-1 at halftime, the Flashes immediately put the win away with two goals in the first five minutes of the second half.

Helen Jerdan scored her second goal of the match on a direct shot off a penalty corner after Kristen Johnson stopped Rebecca Rahaim' s initial pass. ...
