study, "All or Nothing," may be the victim of unfortunate timing.
The film is almost guaranteed to provoke comparisons to last year'
s grief opus "In the Bedroom," and perhaps with good reason.
The two dramas do share the same heaviness of despair, as though they
are weighed down by the unavoidable pull of its characters' emotions.
But "All or Nothing" stands apart from films like "In the Bedroom"
because it has something most movies don't -- innovative British
