(The Daily Universe) (U-WIRE) PROVO, Utah -- Troy Pederson, 33, from
Lindon, Utah, was given a second chance at life when he received his
sister's kidney.
After waiting seven months on the donor list, Peterson unexpectedly
received his sister's kidney after she was killed in a car accident.
"I know what it's like to sit in that little dinky room, being told
by the doctor that your loved one is gone and asking if you've ever
considered organ donation," Pederson said.
Pederson authorized the organ donation, thinking of the 17 people
who die daily because they were not able to receive a transplant,
he said. He did not think he could receive his sister's kidney ...
