Vic: Man sues de facto over child deception

MELBOURNE, Nov 1 AAP - A Melbourne man is taking his former de facto wife to court in an attempt to win back more than $18,000 he spent on a child he thought was his.

DNA testing proved he was not the father and he wanted back all the money he'd spent on the young girl over the past five years, he told Melbourne radio 3AW today.

"I got the first proof in late March, early April," he said.

"(We had been) fighting for overnight access. I almost collapsed on the concrete walking down the street when I opened the envelope."
