Trey Hillman doesn't expect to change Japanese baseball, he just expects
to win.
The 39-year-old Hillman, who was formally introduced as the new manager
of the Nippon Ham Fighters on Tuesday, said he is taking a realistic
approach to his new job with the Pacific League team.
"I'm not coming over here to rewrite the game," Hillman told reporters
at a Tokyo hotel. "One of the things I've learned over the years is
you have to adapt and adjust to the strengths that your players have."
Hillman began his managerial career in the New York Yankees farm system
in 1990. He went on to guide the triple-A Columbus Clippers for three
