Vic: Building company continues legal campaign against unions

MELBOURNE, Nov 15 AAP - Building giant Grocon made good today on its threat to take on the unions, pressing ahead with legal action against the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU).

Grocon wants the Federal Court to fine the CFMEU, alleging the union demanded construction workers were paid for time spent at two protests earlier this year.

The union staged the rallies in August in response to Grocon's submission to the royal commission into the building industry.

The parties are due to appear in the Federal Court again on April 4.
