Defending and nine-time champion Real Madrid will face five-time winner
AC Milan in the second phase of the Champions League.
Real Madrid, which has won three of the last five European Champions
Cups, was one of the top seeded teams in Friday's draw and heads Group
C. The group also contains Milan, 1997 titlist Borussia Dortmund and
Lokomotiv Moscow.
"It's very difficult for everyone, not only Real Madrid," said Emilio
Butragueno, the team's assistant sports director. "In the groups there
are eight or nine teams that can win the title."
Real Madrid will have its hands full. It faces AC Milan on Nov. 26
just days after a weekend ...
