THE global prices of dairy products are expected to rise moderately
due to the prolonged drought in Australia, but demand from Asia is
expected
to remain fairly strong, says Australian Dairy Corp (ADC).
That's because the region's demand for Australian dairy products
is
driven by its economic situation.
"The economic outlook for China and South-East Asia remains positive
... and as long as it remains strong, demand (for Australian dairy
products)
will be strong," said ADC manager for international policy, Phillip
Goode.
Today, Australia exports 66 per cent of its dairy products to Asia,
