moment, at the climax of sexual intercourse, the condom broke. Or
no birth control method was used, leaving a woman at risk of pregnancy.
University students in this compromising position have ready access
to emergency contraception in the form of pills that contain high
dosages of the chemicals found in normal birth control pills.
Emergency contraception, distributed through the University Health
Center and health care facilities at universities across the nation,
can be taken up to 72 hours after sex and reduces the risk of pregnancy
