Nor'easter dumping up to 30 inches of snow

ALBANY, N.Y., Jan 04, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Albany, N.Y. Saturday battled its 11th snowstorm of the season, braced for up to two feet of the white stuff by the time the latest storm is over later in the day.

The Nor'easter left 8 to 10 inches of snow in New York city suburbs but got stalled in Albany and the Hudson Valley Friday with snowfalls of up to 3 inches an hour producing whiteout conditions.

A formal Winter Storm Warning was in effect through Saturday for central and eastern New York as well as the coastal areas of New England.
