Even after 40 years of watching the weather, meteorologist Tony Lacroix is not completely comfortable predicting the duration or intensity of winter storms.

"You can't guarantee much in this business," Lacroix said Friday, eyeing the computer models at the National Weather Service in Gray. "But at the moment, we're in a pretty predictable pattern."
