FED: Indonesia plans to use Kournikova to boost Bali tourism

CANBERRA, Jan 9 AAP - Indonesia plans to use tennis glamour girl Anna Kournikova to rescue Bali's struggling tourism industry.

The Russian star has been made a lucrative offer to compete in a WTA Tour event on the Indonesian island later this year in an effort to lure back tourists after the October 12 bombings, which killed about 180 people, including 88 Australians.

The 21-year-old, who has been named among the 50 most beautiful people in the world, is viewed as a huge drawcard for young Australians, especially males, with Indonesian officials hoping Kournikova's presence ...
