Crosstown rivals AC Milan and Inter Milan won Sunday to remain tied
for first place in the Italian league. Arsenal, behind two goals from
Thierry Henry, routed Birmingham City 4-0 to increase its Premier
League lead to five points.
In Spain, undefeated leader Real Sociedad tied defending champion
Valencia 2-2 while Real Madrid closed within one point after beating
Celta de Vigo 1-0 on a goal by Ronaldo.
Italy
AC Milan got goals from Andriy Shevchenko and Serginho to beat Bologna
2-0 while Inter topped Modena by the same score on goals by Alvaro
