Tuesday, January 21, 2003 -- Intel gets $55.5m. from Industry and
Trade Ministry
Intel Israel received $55.5 million from the Industry and Trade Ministry
to expand its research and development facility in Haifa, the ministry
said on Monday. Intel Israel currently operates in Haifa, Jerusalem,
Yakum, and Omer. Ministry officials said expansion of the facility
will add another 270 jobs in Haifa. Founded in 1974, Intel Israel,
a subsidiary of US-based Intel employs 1,700. Tal Muscal
