Report: Ventura to host MSNBC talk show

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan 22, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Former Gov. Jesse Ventura reportedly is close to signing a deal to host a talk show for MSNBC.

Ventura, who was known as "The Body" during his professional wrestling career, was a radio talk show host before he made his run for governor in 1998 and during his tenure as governor did a weekly call-in show.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune Wednesday said Ventura will be in San Diego for the Super Bowl this weekend and will shoot some promotional spots. Some test shows already have been taped in Los Angeles and the show itself could be based at the sprawling ...
