SACO-- Brian Kelly scored 15 points and Steve Sibley added 14 to help Sanford edge Thornton Academy 52-50 in a Southern Maine Activities Association boys' basketball game Monday. Sean Mayo led Thornton (4- 7) with 25 points and 15 rebounds.

Sanford improved to 6-5.

RANGELEY 57, WINDHAM CHRISTIAN 35: Neil Stewart and Jim Goodwin each scored 19 points to lead the Lakers (11-3) over the Warriors (3-9) at Rangeley.

Alan Moore had nine points for Windham Christian.
