Book lovers, who started thronging the Ekushey boi mela yesterday
evening, had to hurry back home as a brief drizzle suddenly pushed
the
mercury down raising the spectre of another cold spell.
Some 85 more new books arrived at the fair with fictions outnumbering
other titles.
Organized by Bangla Academy, the month-long book fair began on
February 1 commemorating the language martyrs.
Like in previous years, novels by Humayun Ahmed and Imdadul Huq Milon
are all the rage at the book fair. Publishers at the fair informed
The
Independent that the sales of their novels had already reached a few
thousand
copies.
More than 20 titles of fictions arrived at the fair yesterday. ...
