Tafai Ioasa scored three tries as New Zealand snapped a four-year
hometown losing stretch with a 38-26 win over England in Saturday'
s final of the Wellington leg of the rugby union World Sevens series.
The world sevens champions had never previously won the New Zealand
stop on the series but made amends by outscoring England _ winner
of last weekend's event in Brisbane, Australia _ by five tries to
four.
The lead changed four times during the second half before New Zealand,
which had previously beaten Fiji 24-22 in semifinal overtime, scored
two late tries to clinch the match.
