(The Daily Aztec) (U-WIRE) SAN DIEGO -- At 4:15 Thursday morning, the San Diego State baseball team (5-5) was on a bus heading to the airport. Despite being battered and bruised, SDSU is making the cross-country trek to Miami, where it will take on vaunted No. 13 Miami (4-2) this weekend.

After dropping three straight games to Arizona State, the Aztecs have, for the most part, found themselves on the winning side since, knocking off No. 23 South Alabama and winning both series against UC-Santa Barbara and Santa Clara.

But in the absence of third baseman Chad Corona and first baseman Jon Stephens, SDSU will have to make accommodations in the infield and the lineup. ...
