WA: Federal government needs to commite to Medicare: Smith
PERTH, Feb 23 AAP - Shadow Health Minister Stephen Smith said today
Kay Patterson had
exposed imminent funding cuts to public hospitals after refusing to
promise more Commonwealth
money for public hospitals.
"What she has confirmed is that she can't guarantee to the states
that they won't see
a cut to funding for public hospitals," Mr Smith said.
"The second thing she has let out of the bag today is that her
so-called billion-dollar
plan to help bulk-billing is a figment of her imagination.
