KENNEBUNK-- Richard Stevens, a former brick and stone mason who was responsible for building the stone wall at St. Ann's Church in Kennebunkport, died Friday. He was 72.

Mr. Stevens, who began working as a mason when he was 17, was a perfectionist with an artistic touch. Prior to starting his own business, Dick Stevens Masonry, he learned the trade from local masons, contributing to projects such as the Newington and Fox Run malls in New Hampshire.
