Wednesday, February 26, 2003 -- Colon cancer is diagnosed in 3,000 Israelis and kills 1,500 each year. But while diagnosing it early greatly increases survival rates and lifestyle and dietary changes can prevent it, most do nothing to save themselves.

The Israel Cancer Association (ICA) and the Health Ministry held a joint press conference Tuesday to announce Colon Cancer Awareness Week, which will be held from March 1 through March 8.
