Two Lebanese cousins were each sentenced to just over three years
in federal prison Thursday for their roles in a North Carolina-based
ring that sent cigarette-smuggling profits to the militant Lebanese
group Hezbollah.
U.S. District Judge Graham Mullen also sentenced a Michigan man who
bought large quantities of the cigarettes to two years in prison.
